Troubles Ecobox met before APAS Show
APAS Retail Show in Brazil will be held on May 07 - May 10, 2018.
We had arranged samples shipment to Vitoria by early Feb, ETA Apr 26, 2018. Samples in booth date is May 06, 2018. Apparently, we have much time.
Date Apr 26, 2018, we had been told by forwarder that the shipment arrived at Santos, will be sent to Vitoria soon for clearance, and then transfer to Sao Paulo no later than May 03, to catch the in-booth day on May 06. (P.S.: The kind person that helped us to import samples is located in Vitoria, this is why the destination port is Vitoria instead of Santos, even Santos is much close to the show).
Date May 02, 2018, we had been told suddenly that there was a momentaneus congestion and strike at Santos, causing 7-8 days delay of custom clearance!!! OMG!
It will definitely can not catch up the in-booth date on May 06!!! What should Ecobox do??
After checking the possibility for make the custom clearance at Santos port directly, it will still can not catch the closing date. We gave up!
Then reschedule our plan. Mr Lee, Andie made a emergency action, took some samples along with them when they go to Brazil, however, the total dimension will be over the limitation of the luggage that you can take on the plane. Nothing gonna stop them doing this, guess what they did? They insert their clothes, belongs into the sample boxes, and put the samples into their luggage boots!!! How smart they are!
Now they are on the flight to Brazil, hope they all good!
